Samsung is working on the foldable display smartphones
for years. Now at Samsung developer conference in 2018, finally the company released
trailer of this device with its new OLED panel, embedded with infinity flex
display. The company didn’t reveal detailed specifications excluding screen
size. After doing some research on bolt, we got some clues that Samsung contact
Sony for their camera sensor provided in their new foldable phone.
Samsung will use codename for their
foldable phones, while studying the firmware Verizon 5G device codenamed “Bolt”
found a file com.samsung.sensor IMX 374_winner. These files are library files
which represent drivers for the device. Sony IMX374 sensor for the device codenamed
“winner” is a camera device which is not declared yet.
There is no information for camera sensor
which will use in upcoming Samsung galaxy S10 series.Right before the mobile
world Congress (in Barcelona), Samsung will announce such information about
camera sensor, as rumoured around.
All the major OEMS launch their Q1 portfolio
of products at MWC or CES, Sony may also declare information regarding IMX374
camera sensor. Samsung still not plan anything launch of “winner” foldable
phone before Q1 of 2019. We will update you as soon as company will announce
about foldable phones.
