Much awaited FTTH service from Reliance will
be launched shortly according to India Today. Jio GigaFiber had announced in
august last year by Reliance and it is in testing phase yet.
What is Jio GigaFiber?
It is FTTH broad band service of Reliance
that will offer 1gbps downloading speed and 100mbps uploading speed. It is the
only broad band service which has all in one solution for broad band, smart TV,
landline solutions. Fans of VR technology connect directly GigaFiber network
with headsets and stream 360 degree views.
Only 1100 cities can enjoy Jio GigaFiber in first phase.
In march 2019 , Jio will launch GigaFiber
in 1100 cities. It includes Agra, Bengaluru, Chennai, Chandigarh , Ranchi,
Patna, Allahabad, Raipur, Nagpur, Ghaziabad, Pune, Indore, Thane, Bhopal,
Lukhnow, Ludhiana, Madurai, Nashik and Guwahati among others.
Jio GigaFiber will also come with Jio's Set-top box.
Jio GigaFiber will also power Jio TV &smart
home devices which are offered by company with GigaFiber connection. Jio's
Set-top box will have 600+ TV channels and subscriptions of movies, millions of
songs and so many other things. Users can also have access Jio TV call, Jio
cloud and Jio cinema.

Jio will offer a free preview
of 90 days, but you have to pay refundable security deposit Rs.4500 for router and
set top box. You will get 100GB data free with this offer for 90 days. If you

Plans & prices (expected):
As per
reports of different agencies Jio GigaFiber plans will start from Rs.500. In
Rs.999 you will get 600GB, with Rs1299 plan would you 750GB of data at 10mbps
speed, as per trak.
